The Manufacture Cogolin, established in 1924 in a village near Saint-Tropez, is rich in artisanal know-how particularly sought after by a clientele in search of tradition and quality. Purchased by the textile engineer and visionary Jean Lauer in 1928, the Manufacture Cogolin experienced remarkable growth from the 1930s onwards thanks to the introduction of its exceptional know-how to great decorative artists such as Jules Leleu, Christian Bérard, Jean-Michel Frank, Sir David Hicks and artists such as Jean Cocteau. 

From hand-knotted to woven on 19th-century Jacquard hand looms, the Cogolin rug is recognizable by the unrivaled elegance of its floral and geometric high-relief patterns and its palette of vibrant colors.

Occupying a prominent place in the history of French heritage, the richness of its historical and cultural heritage and the skill of its artisans produce admirable creations which, since its creation, have adorned palaces, embassies, luxurious residences and yachts.
