La Pagnottina

Radical ideas and manufacturing wisdom: a versatile chair by Gaetano Pesce for an unexpected interior.

A mixture of opposites – thick and thin, soft and rigid – is the concept behind the forms of the two radical seats La Pagnotta and La Pagnottina, designed by Gaetano Pesce for Meritalia®. The Pagnottina chair is light and versatile, available in many different coverings. Like the Pagnotta armchair from the same series, Pagnottina is made up of fourteen carbon-fibre legs defining its solid structure.

The back and seat are streamlined, with lighter paddings and clean –almost rationalist– lines, which determine the character of this radical seat. Pagnottina is a radical object in its appearance as well as in the technology behind its construction: a flexible structure, adapting to –and supporting– the weight of the sitting body, with no bulk, no hassle, and in total comfort.
