AJ52 Desk

The industrial-yet-elegant profile of Arne Jacobsen’s AJ52 Desk (1952) remains unmatched even after seven decades. Known as the “Society Table,” the slender writing desk features a fine-structured leather top that wraps around a tubular metal frame. A conical desk lamp is a seamless extension of the design, as is the glass-fronted letter compartment. A six-drawer unit with recessed handles can be suspended beneath the table on the left or right side. Solid-wood feet add warmth and balance to the design. Originally conceived as a gift for the American-Scandinavian Foundation's new office in New York, the AJ52’s exceptional craftsmanship and thoughtful functionality continue to captivate.
