Dante Sofa
by Philip Nimmo Design

In Philip Nimmo style, the metalwork makes the Dante Sofa stand out. Its magic is in the beautiful, bronze legs, as well as the wood trim detailing where the cushions hit the back of the piece. This sofa’s swooping arms add a graceful curve to the otherwise masculine design.
Meet Philip Nimmo
Over the past three decades, Los Angeles-based Philip Nimmo has proven again and again that he’s a rare prodigy in the world of interior design and high-end products. His sought-after skills have captured the eyes of an impressive list of celebrities and dignitaries, from Sir Anthony Hopkins to Jaclyn Smith.
Nimmo attended the University of Southern California to study business management, but he transitioned to join the staff at the then-newly formed Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where he studied under the legendary Horst Schulze. Nimmo quickly worked his way up to become the corporate director of banquets.
Eventually, Nimmo began working as an interior designer, and soon he was attracting big-name clients, such as singer-songwriter Randy Newman. It was Newman’s fireplace that sparked Nimmo’s product line. When Nimmo couldn’t find the right screen for Newman’s odd-shaped fireplace, Nimmo decided to create his own. But a happy accident led to the fire screen being made in the wrong size.
